Whether etching glass, steel, or other metals, the retractable aluminum scribe with carbide tip is one of our favorite tools. Avoid poking through clothing (or yourself) while still having quick access to the scribe. The hardened carbide tip can even be used as a glass break or other pokey tool in a pinch.
