We have always loved Opinels, but sometimes a good thing can be made even better. This Opinel 12 (second biggest even offered) has all the things we would want in an Opinel. We clip pointed and blackwashed the blade. Then we blackened the hardware. We also custom shaped, textured, (for ergonomics) and ebony stained the beechwood handle, added a flared brass lanyard tube, and even a pocket wave for one-handed opening. Even the edge has been reground and hand stropped.
